The guardian of innocent kids

Listening to Ludovico Einaudi is bringing sad fluffy stories in my mind.

This guy is the guardian of innocent kids, who eventually grow up and are not so innocent anymore, so he is just very sad all the time because he gets attached alright.
He keeps the memories of their innocence in his ball and guards it.
He's very hard working and loyal, but he's also not very strong. He backs down easily and gets kicked around a lot. But he's still around, so that should give some kind of hope.
